INDEX STOCK AND PHOTOLIBRARY.COM EXTEND THEIR PARTNERSHIP
All Digital Stock

NEW YORK, NY - December 2003 - Thanks to the digital era, Index Stock Imagery of New York, and Photolibrary.com, are extending their successful partnership to the United Kingdom. Photolibrary.com will be uploading around 50,000 of Index Stock's high-res images over the next six months. Thanks to digital technology, these images will be available for licensing simultaneously on the Photolibrary.com Web sites in the Asia Pacific region and the UK.

Photolibrary.com has been in business for over 30 years, and has worked with Index Stock since 1991. However, “Photolibrary.com's true genesis really has only been over the past two years as we moved to a totally digital platform,” says Glenn Parker, Chief Executive Officer.

This has been Index Stock's (www.indexstock.com) direction since the early 1990's. Index began digitizing images in 1992, converted to on-line research internally in 1993, and launched its first e-commerce site in 1994. Both Photolibrary.com and Index can deliver any image in their collections digitally, although Index can still deliver analog film, when necessary. “All of our revenue is via digital delivery.” Parker states, “Our direction is about satisfying the creative community by providing a strong mix of divergent content and most importantly depth.”

Bahar Gidwani, Chief Executive Officer, of Index Stock Imagery adds: “Our long partnership with Photolibrary has been one our most successful. Our image library will help Photolibrary.com quickly build its UK business into one of that country's leading image sources. We enjoy working with such a highly technical and a forward thinking agent.”

Photolibrary.com's London office opened in October 2002 and has quickly established a reputation for high quality imagery, speed of delivery and efficient service. The UK business has grown significantly over the past twelve months and is now viewed as an important resource for today's image buyers. The UK website with Index Stock's help now has over 200,000 hi res images available for immediate download. Photolibrary.com also has offices in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and other territories within the Asia Pacific region. Their business model is based on being a distributor of niche library content, which will be stronger when grouped together into a single source. Photolibrary.com also has about 400,000 hi res images available online in Asia Pacific and is looking to expand its presence further both in this region and elsewhere.

Index Stock, because of the size and breadth of its library, continues to be a major international player in the stock photo industry. It maintains agent alliances in 50 countries and represents dozens of domestic collections. Index has 650,000 images available online. Its collection includes 75,000 Royalty Free images. Its www.indexstock.com Web site supports emailable lightboxes, e-commerce shopping, and customized price grids and high-res comps, for qualified customers. Mac users can enjoy a Mac interface and all of Index's loyal customers receive gifts through the Customer Rewards Program featured on the Index site.
